At the turn of the century, work shirts reflected the shift from traditional craftsmanship to early industrialisation. The shirts had to be durable, comfortable, and easy to care for – requirements that were evident in the choice of materials and the cut of the garments.
Our 1908 Hazienda Shirt comes directly from this era. It features a half-button front, a comfortable fit, a small stand-up collar, and a small chest pocket designed for a pocket watch. As was customary, there is an additional buttonhole on the placket to properly secure the pocket watch. The fabric is sturdy and made from 100% cotton.
We developed this shirt in collaboration with Heine Min Jung and are particularly proud of this successful partnership.
